How to Create Your Educator Account
Every Knowbotic account starts as a Learner. Follow these steps to switch to an Educator and create your academy.
Log in to your Dashboard
Go to knowbotic.app and sign in to your account. You will land on your personal learner dashboard.
A role selection modal appears automatically
On your first visit, a modal appears showing two cards: Learner (blue) and Educator (coral). Click the Educator card to begin the switch.
Confirm the one-time switch
A confirmation dialog appears with a warning: “This is a one-time action and cannot be reversed.” Click “Yes, Make Me an Educator” to proceed.
Your academy is created automatically
Knowbotic instantly creates your academy named “[Your Name]’s Tuition” — for example, “Sarah’s Tuition”. You are taken straight to your new educator dashboard.
Customize your academy in Settings (optional)
To change your academy name or upload a logo, click Settings in the sidebar. You can update these details at any time.
Note: The role selection modal appears automatically on first visit — there is no “Become an Educator” button in the navigation bar. If you have already dismissed the modal, go to Settings in the sidebar and select “Become a Tutor”. The result is identical. You can then customize the name and branding from the Settings page.
Note: Switching to Educator is a one-way change. Your personal learner space is replaced by your academy workspace. Each user is either a Learner or an Educator — not both.
