What is a Homework Assignment?

A homework assignment is created by assigning a worksheet to a class. When you assign a worksheet, every student in that class instantly receives their own personal copy via a magic link — no accounts, no logins needed.

Here is exactly what happens when you assign a worksheet to a class:

You find a worksheet — Go to Worksheets and find the worksheet you want to assign.

You click the Assign button — Click the paper-plane icon (Assign) on the worksheet. The "Assign to Class" dialog opens.

You fill in the assignment details — Set a title (pre-filled from the worksheet), choose a class, and optionally set a time limit, opens-at date, and closes-at date.

You click "Assign & Share" — Knowbotic generates a unique magic link for each student in the class.

Each student receives their link — Students with an email address on file receive their magic link automatically via email. Students without an email can be given the link manually.

Students submit their answers — Submissions are auto-graded instantly and results appear on your Homework dashboard.
