Students

Do Students Need to Create Accounts?

No. Students never create an account, download an app, or set a password. The tutor creates the student's profile, and students access their homework by clicking a magic link that the tutor sends them.

Here is exactly how a student accesses their homework:

1

Tutor adds the student to the academy

The tutor clicks "Students" in the sidebar, clicks "Add Student", enters the student's name and email address (both required), and clicks "Add Student". Optional fields include mobile number, parent name, year of birth, and class assignment.

2

Tutor assigns homework to the student's class

When homework is assigned, Knowbotic generates a unique magic link for that student. The tutor copies the link from the student's profile or the homework page.

3

Tutor sends the magic link to the student or parent

The tutor pastes the link into a WhatsApp message, email, or any other messaging app and sends it. The student or parent receives it on their phone or computer.

4

Student clicks the link and starts working

The link opens a homework page directly in the browser. No login screen, no sign-up form — the student sees their questions immediately and can start answering. Once submitted, the tutor sees the results on their dashboard.

Why no student accounts? Young students often share a parent's device and may not have their own email address. By using magic links, any student can access their homework from any device with a web browser — no setup required.
