Understanding Roles (Owner, Manager, Tutor)

Every person in your academy has one of three roles. The role controls exactly what they can see and do:

Owner
  • — Full access to all settings, content, students, and classes
  • — Manage billing: view credit usage, upgrade plan
  • — Invite and remove Managers and Tutors via the Tutors sidebar item
  • — Change any team member's role
  • — Delete the academy (from Settings → Danger Zone)
  • Only one Owner per academy (the person who created it)
Manager
  • — Manage all students, classes, worksheets, and homework across the academy
  • — Can see the Students and Tutors sidebar items
  • — Invite Tutors (but not other Managers) via the Tutors page
  • Cannot access Settings or Billing
  • — Cannot change roles or remove team members
Tutor
  • — Can only see their own Classes, Worksheets, and Homework
  • Cannot see the Students or Tutors sidebar items
  • Cannot access Settings or Billing
  • Cannot invite anyone

To change a role, the Owner goes to the Tutors page in the sidebar, finds the team member, and updates their role. See How to Change a Role for the full steps.
