Supported Question Types

When creating a worksheet, you can include any combination of the question types below. Each type suits a different learning objective.

1

Auto

Let the AI decide which question types best suit the topic. When you select Auto, Knowbotic picks the most appropriate mix of question types based on the subject and topic you entered.

Best for: When you want a balanced worksheet without specifying each type manually.

2

Multiple Choice

The student picks one correct answer from four options (A, B, C, D). The AI generates all four options, including plausible distractors. Grading is automatic and instant — 1 credit per question graded.

Best for: Testing factual knowledge, recall, and comprehension quickly.

3

True / False

The student reads a statement and selects either True or False. The AI generates the statement and marks the correct answer. Grading is automatic and instant — 1 credit per question graded.

Best for: Checking whether students understand key concepts and can identify misconceptions.

4

Fill in the Blank

The student types a missing word or short phrase to complete a sentence — for example, "The powerhouse of the cell is the ___." The AI generates the sentence and the expected answer. Grading is automatic — 1 credit per question graded.

Best for: Vocabulary, definitions, and targeted recall of specific terms.

5

Scenario Based

The student is presented with a short real-world scenario or passage, then asked one or more questions about it. The AI writes both the scenario and the questions. Grading uses 1 credit per student response evaluated.

Best for: Testing applied thinking, comprehension, and the ability to draw conclusions from context.

6

Multiple Select

Like Multiple Choice, but the student must select all correct answers from a list — there may be more than one. The AI generates all options and marks the correct set. Grading is automatic — 1 credit per question graded.

Best for: Questions where multiple facts or concepts are all correct simultaneously.

Tip: mix question types

When generating a worksheet, select multiple question types at once. For example, Multiple Choice + True/False + Fill in the Blank gives a balanced assessment that tests both recall and understanding with automatic grading at 1 credit per question.
