How to Add Students to a Class
The most common way to add students to a class is directly from the class detail page. Follow these steps:
Click “Classes” in the sidebar
In your academy dashboard, click Classes in the left-hand sidebar to open your list of classes.
Open the class you want to add students to
Click the class name — for example, Grade 5 Mathematics — to open the class detail page.
Click the “Students” tab
Inside the class detail page, click the Students tab. This shows all students currently enrolled in this class.
Click “Add Students”
Click the Add Students button. A panel appears showing all students in your academy who are not yet enrolled in this class.
Select the students you want to enrol
Tick the checkbox next to each student you want to add. You can select multiple students at once.
Click “Save”
Click Save to confirm. The selected students are now enrolled in this class and will automatically receive any future homework packs assigned to it.
You can also add students to a class in two other ways:
- During class creation — the final step of the Create Class form lets you enrol students before saving.
- From a student profile — open the student's profile from the Students section, then use the Classes tab to assign them to one or more classes from there.
Note: A student can belong to multiple classes at the same time. For example, the same student can be in Grade 5 Mathematics, Grade 5 Science, and Grade 5 English simultaneously.
